Fans were surprised upon hearing Juice WRLD's lyrics on Lil Yachty's song "Yacht Club" which reference Drake and the mother of his child. Though the bar did garner a lot of attention, Yachty claims that Drake actually laughed off the line.

Vulture recently spoke with Juice WRLD, and he talked about several things, including the infamous Drake shot. As he regards himself as "one of Drake's biggest fans you could ever find," the "Lucid Dreams" rapper actually cited Eminem as the inspiration behind the lyric. "I'm also a big fan of Eminem, and sometimes I use his point of view, his style," he says. "When Eminem was coming up, he used to crack jokes [about other people] in his music. It was satire. I incorporated the same thing." He goes on to say, despite how people may receive the lyrics, he believes "Drake knows it's a joke... I think he's the greatest in the game right now."

It is apparent Juice WRLD is learning from the foundation Drake set, as WRLD on Drugs(the former's collaboration with Future) comes three years after What a Time To Be Alive (the latter's collaboration with Future). When speaking about WRLD on Drugs, he stated that his collaboration with Future took one day less than it took to make WATTBA. "We probably made twice as many songs than we dropped, as well," he said, informing fans that new music may be on the way.
