Iggy Azalea Calls Out Eminem After Name-Dropping Her on "Killshot"

Eminem dropped his fiery diss record aimed at Machine Gun Kelly on Friday, titled “Killshot,” where Em mouths off on MGK’s career, the way he dresses, and more. Iggy Azalea also has something to say about Em’s song, and it isn’t nice.

Eminem dropped his fiery diss record aimed at Machine Gun Kelly on Friday, titled “Killshot,” where Em mouths off on MGK’s career, the way he dresses, and more.

Iggy Azalea also ended up catching a stray, so she took to Twitter to respond. “Diss songs shouldn’t be filled with celebrity name drops to pad out lazy bars," she said.

She added, “And that’s my unbiased opinion from a girl that watched this guys set and sung the words in the crowd. I’d think it regardless. One of the greatest to do it, I’m NOT in dispute about that. But I do think the name dropping thing has become a crotch.”

“Also let’s talk about why it’s lazy now; but wasn’t in the earlier work," she continued. "The earlier stuff was crazy, twisted and creative. This stuff feels more like picking names that fit easily into a rhyme scheme.”

Azalea is likely alluding to the series of celebrities Eminem mentions during one punchline: "You ain't never made a list next to no Biggie, no Jay/Next to Taylor Swift, and that Iggy hoe, you about to really blow"

The feud between Em and MGK stems from 2012, when MGK called Em’s then-16-year-old daughter Hailie “hot as fuck” in a tweet. MGK blames Em for trying to blackball him for the comment, and he brought the claim up again on his Labor Day diss track, “Rap Devil,” which was a response to Em’s Kamikaze song “Not Alike.”

"Mad about something I said in 2012/Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss," MGK rapped.
