Cardi B on Her 'Invasion of Privacy' Album Sales: 'Numbers Don't F*ckin Lie'

In the days following her altercation with Nicki Minaj, Cardi B hit up Instagram to remind the world she has one of the top-selling hip-hop albums of 2018.

In case you forgot, Cardi B is one of the most commercially successful artists of 2018. Just ask her.

In the days since she and Nicki Minaj got into a messy altercation, the Invasion of Privacy rapper has received a lot of heat from the Barbz, who have attempted to discredit her professional achievements. Nicki fueled the fire in the most recent episode of Queen Radio, in which she claimed Cardi’s career was built “off of sympathy and payola”; the latter term is defined as “a secret or private payment in return for the promotion of a product, service […] through the abuse of one's position, influence, or facilities.”

Cardi seemingly responded to Nicki’s accusations via Instagram on Wednesday, posting a graphic of the top 10 best-selling hip-hop albums of the year. As you can see below, Drake’s Scorpion took the No. 1 slot with 2.9 million sales; Post Malone’s followed with Beerbongs & Bentleys at 2.4 million; and Cardi’s debut effort, Invasion of Privacy, landed at No. 3 with 1.5 million.

“NUMBERS DONT FUCKIN LIE,” she captioned the post.

As many of us know, sales figures are a touchy subject for Nicki, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the Queen rapper responds in the upcoming days. You already know we're keeping our eyes peeled.
