Is Trippie Redd taking a stand against Kanye West? Or is he just flexing by throwing away expensive sneakers?
Honestly, it's hard to tell. Either way, the Ohio rapper recorded himself throwing a pair of Yeezy Boost 750s off a balcony over the weekend, while yelling "Fuck Yeezys!" His friend and collaborator Kodie Shane joined in on the fun and threw the second shoe.
Trippie has yet to comment on Kanye West's recent controversial actions, and he appeared to be in good spirits in the video, so you can probably file this one under "rockstar shit."
Then again, Trippie hasn't been known to hold his tongue and avoid beef with other rappers. His loud confrontations with 6ix9ine have been difficult to avoid over the last couple weeks, and, of course, he would be far from the first rapper to publicly criticize Kanye this month. [Update :
This weekend, Trippie also gave fans an update on his next album during an appearance at Rolling Loud in Miami: It's coming in July.
"I'm not like these other dudes, I'm very versatile," he said. "I guess I'ma show y'all some shit from my album that's about to drop in July. New shit from the album! Don't get me wrong though, it's a vibe. It's not no turn up shit, it's a vibe with the shit. New age Kurt Cobain shit."
