Deadpool Is Céline Dion's Sexy Backup Dancer in Entirely Ridiculous "Ashes" Video

Céline Dion and Deadpool collaborate for "Ashes" video. Yes, you read that right.

We should have seen this coming.

Céline Dion is lending her voice to fellow Canadian Ryan Reynolds for "Ashes," a new song off the Deadpool 2soundtrack. But the two didn't just stop at recording the track. There's a music video to go along with it too.

The visual starts off fairly standard as Dion belts her ballad on letting "beauty come out of ashes" in front of an empty auditorium with interlaced footage from the film. But it quickly takes a left turn as Deadpool struts onto the stage (in black-heeled booties) to show off his best interpretative dance moves and floor work.

After the moving performance, Deadpool claps it up for Dion from the audience seats. Unfortunately, it was "too good." "That was amazing. That was the most beautiful performance I've ever seen in my life," he says before adding that they "need to do it again."

"This is Deadpool 2 not Titanic," he quips referencing her major power balled "My Heart Will Go On" from the 1997 film. "You’re an 11. We need to get you down to a five, five-and-a-half tops. Just phone it in," he adds.

Unfortunately, Dion only has one level. "This thing only goes to 11," she says, pointing to her vocal chords. "So beat it, Spider-Man." Ouch. Deadpool then says he "should have asked N'Sync."

Dion, whose Twitter header photo is a still from the video, shared love for the film in the promotion of the song and video as well. "Over the years I've received incredible songs and I’ve been involved in fun projects," read her tweet.

Reynolds has a shorter message for the music video's release. "Showtime, Mama."

Deadpool 2 is set to be released in theaters on May 18. The soundtrack, which also features Run the Jewels, Diplo, French Montana, Lil Pump, Cher, Dolly Parton, Pat Benatar, Skrillex, and more, will drop the same day.
