On Friday night, the Atlanta rapper hit up Instagram Live to share a snippet of a low-tempo track that could eventually feature XXX.

“I want y’all to tag [XXXTentacion],” he said before previewing the cut. “[…] I like this young nigga.  He’s one of the only young niggas that I like. He’s really dope. I want y’all to tag him. I want him featured on this.”

It’s unclear when the track is expected to drop, as Thug previously announced he would not release any new material until 2019: “I’ve got a deaf brother,” he told Hypebeast back in February. “I’ve got a brother who can’t hear or talk, so I want to act deaf for a year. So I ain’t going to put out no music this year.”

Some fans are skeptical about the claim, especially in light of Birdman’s recent announcement that he and Thug may deliver Rich Gang 2 before summer’s end. Could this newly previewed record be part of the upcoming Rich Gang project? We’ll have to wait and see.

As of Saturday afternoon, XXX had not responded to Thugger’s video.

The 20-year-old Florida rapper faced more assault allegations late last month, after a newly surfaced video from 2013 showed him punching a woman. XXX's legal team, however, claims the video was not as severe as it seemed, and suggested the alleged victim is simply interested in making a quick buck.

“This ‘terrified’ woman decides to post this video now, conveniently, when [XXX] becomes famous,” attorney Jaclyn Broudy told TMZ. “Draw your own conclusions.”

On Saturday, XXX announced he would host a paintball “war” to raise awareness about gun violence.

“OK, so next Saturday, we're doing an event called Put Down the Guns,” he said in a video. “Paintball war. Broward vs. Dade County. Come.”
