Wiz Khalifa Celebrates 4/20 by Dropping Freestyle and Announcing Release Date for 'Rolling Papers 2'

Wiz previously shared a preview of the freestyle last month in anticipation for his favorite day of the year.

Today is the unofficial international day of weed, 4/20. An opportunity to blaze it regardless of where you're at or what you're up to, there's no better time to smoke. Wiz Khalifa, one of the most famous outspoken fans of weed in the world, has been looking forward to today for a while, previously sharing a preview of a freestyle celebrating the well-loved holiday. Now he's shared a studio version of the track, and has exciting news for fans of his landmark project Rolling Papers

The simply named "420 Freestyle" has Wiz at his blunted-best, rapping over an airy beat from E. Dan. It's only been a few days since Wiz shared his track "Hunnid Bands," hinting that something bigger was on the way soon, and with the release of "420 Freestyle," he's finally confirmed a release date for Rolling Papers 2.

While Rolling Papers 2 has seen a number of delays push it back, Wiz has now confirmed that his forthcoming studio album will finally arrive on July 13. During a live stream on Instagram celebrating his favorite day of the year, Wiz revealed the long-awaited news.

Rolling Papers 2 will mark Wiz's first studio album since 2014's Blacc Hollywood. On top of that, Wiz has jumped on the remix of Damian Marley's "Medication" alongside Ty Dolla Sign, and Stephen Marley. Wiz definitely knows his brand, celebrating the holiday like no other. Well, except maybe Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson.
