2 Suspects Arrested in Safaree Samuels Robbery After Car Chase

The alleged robbers were captured in New York.

The men who are accused of robbing Safaree Samuels this week have are now in police custody.

Law enforcement told TMZ they captured the suspects following a car chase on the George Washington Bridge from New Jersey into New York. The men then fled on foot after reportedly crashing their vehicle, and were eventually captured by police about 12 blocks apart.

The suspects have been identified as Jonathan Ricketts and Shawn Harewood.

We received news of the robbery Monday, when a visibly shaken Safaree appeared on TheAngie Martinez Show. When the titular host asked the rapper/TV personality what was wrong, he revealed he had been robbed at gunpoint just hours before.

“I just got robbed at gunpoint,” he said. “A couple of hours ago, I just got robbed. Two dudes with guns just ran up on me. Had me face down on the floor with a gun to my head. They just took everything.”

Safaree also went to social media to address the traumatizing experience:
