DJ, producer and serious record collector, Glenn Astro is about to release his new album, Turquoise Tortoise, produced in collaboration with German producer Hodini, aka Hulk Hodn. The new 13-track album comes via R&S Records' ambient sublabel Apollo and, if lead track "Oha!" is anything to go by, the acidic Detroit house and minimalist beats will fit right at home on the label. Then there's the video, which comes from Chilean graffiti artist Latete, and is framed in a QuickTime player border with grainy, VHS-style effects that act as a clever little nod to the minimalist and analogue elements of Astro and Hodini's latest production.
