Though he’s still in elementary school, Consequence’s son is already following in his father’s footsteps.

About three months after releasing his cover of A Tribe Called Quest’s 1990 hit “Can I Kick It,” 6-year-old Caiden Mills has returned with the official music video for the record. The Olise Forel-directed visual features Caiden rapping kid-friendly lyrics to the classic beat, while rocking pieces from ATCQ’s children’s apparel line, Kid Quester.

The cover is the follow-up to Caiden’s 2017 song “We the Minions (Yellow Diamonds).”

“I never set out to train him in rap,” Consequence told DJ Booth in February. “He took to it on his own, I guess, emulating me and then it became something that he naturally does. He naturally can rap. Every dad wants their kid to walk in their shoes, but I had no idea he would start doing that at like three.”

Caiden’s debut album Just Being a Kid will be released this summer.
