The Norwegian producing and songwriting team Stargate linked up with 21 Savage, Partynextdoor, and Murda Beatz to put together a new lowkey banger dubbed "1Night."

The dynamic duo talked with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 about the new collab and their eight tracks ready for release.

"We’re so excited to put this record out. You know, the whole reason we came to America in the first place was because we’ve always loved hip-hop," they told Lowe. "We grew up loving hip-hop, listening to hip-hop in Norway, I was in Oslo and Mikkel was in Trondheim and it was just a lifelong dream."

When asked about how the collaboration with 21 Savage came about, the two gushed about the young rapper. "He has one of the most distinct voices in hip-hop. I think we probably heard—it was a Drake album, I think the first moment that we became aware of him and you know, you hear his voice for two seconds and you know it's him," they said. "Also even though there's some darkness in his lyrics, there’s also a sense of humor and playfulness to a lot of his punchlines. So we knew this kid had something special."

Lowe then asked the two artists if they have any music ready for release.

"I mean oh my God, we’ve probably got between 20 and 30. But I would say like ready for release? Between six, seven, eight songs finished, done. mind blowing, super proud, ready to go," they replied. "The beauty of music right now is that it's almost genre-less. You could come with a hip-hop record and a ballad, a trap record, and a reggae record, it doesn't really matter as long as it's good, then people will mess with it."
