Two months after teasing that her debut studio album was imminent with the release of the official "After the Storm" video, Kali Uchis used her Tonight Show appearance Wednesday to give fans all the details.
Kali was joined by Tyler, the Creator and the Roots for the performance. Previously, Kali and Tyler linked on the Tonight Show for a performance of Tyler's Scum Fuck Flower Boy single "See You Again." Isolation is out April 6.
"We can find solace in the fact that we have to go through the bad stuff to truly get to the good," Uchis told Complex when dropping the Nadia Lee Cohen-directed "After the Storm" video in January. "Just because you're losing at the moment doesn't mean you've lost yet. The storm may be scary now but it's how your flowers bloom later, and paradise is just beyond the rainbow." Bootys Collins is also featured on the track.
Earlier this year, Kali joined Lana Del Rey for a run of dates in the States. She'll next be at Foro Sol in Mexico City this weekend for the two-day Vive Latino festival alongside Queens of the Stone Age, Pussy Riot, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Gorillaz, and more. In April, she hits Coachella.
