Apple recently released an astonishing short film directed by Spike Jonze and starring FKA twigs. Soundtracked by a new song from Anderson .PaakWelcome Home is one of Apple's best commercials in a long time, highlighting just how innovative the company can be when it comes to pushing their latest products. Featuring a multitude of impressive practical effects, and some gorgeous choreography, it's exactly the kind of thing that lends itself well to a documentary.

Ad Week has posted a new documentary detailing how the whole thing came together, and it's absolutely fascinating. The documentary highlights everything from how all the choreography came together, to how twigs got the part. She actually auditioned for the part over the internet, after Jonze had seen countless other actresses audition.

The video also sheds light on how those strange stretchy parts of the apartment work, and incredibly enough a lot of it was done for real without computer generated effects. Cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, who worked on Dunkirk, hinted how they managed to pull off the whole piece. "It's like a magic trick," he explained, showing all the moving parts on the elaborate set.
