Rick Ross Shouts Out Meek Mill at First Show Since Hospitalization

Rick Ross' performance at the Light nightclub in Las Vegas this weekend marked his first time on a stage since his hospitalization earlier this month.

TMZnabbed footage of the performance, during which Ross got the crowd to join him in a "Free Meek Mill!" chant. "Put your hands in the air if you got love for my brother Meek Mill one time," he said before launching into Meek's 2011 track "Ima Boss."

Reports of Ross having been placed on life support were adamantly disputed by those close to him. Fat Trel, for example, confirmed Ross hospitalization but said he was "not on life support" as earlier reports had claimed. Four days later, Ross was released to receive at-home treatment for what TMZsaid then was an undisclosed illness.

Last week, Ross was spotted hanging—and possibly recording—with Gucci Mane. "Ross I'm glad u good Vato!" Guwop said in one caption. In a photo of his own from the same day, Ross teased that Port of Miami 2: Born to Kill was indeed imminent. The last we heard of the Port of Miami sequel, Ross was still shooting for an early 2018 release. "I'm digging deep into these joints, these records, these collaborations," he told Tim Westwood in November. "I'm just going all out. It's the 10th one."
