We’re still waiting on a full-length project, but in the meantime Ski Mask The Slump God has been peeling off singles and leaking snippets with abandon. The latest, “DoIHaveTheSause?” is an impressive technical showcase for the speedy MC, and comes in advance of his The Book Of Eli project.
Featuring sparse, sinister production from FH3, “DoIHaveTheSause?” is in the vein of Ski’s YouWillRegret project from June 2017. Though he’s been more in touch with his lo-fi roots on the Ronny J collaboration “Thriller (Forever)” or the frenetic “WTF?!” this track serves as an opportunity for him to flex his breakneck speed on a sharper instrumental. The new single is his latest to reference H&M’s “Coolest Monkey in the Jungle” controversy, something he did on songs teased on social media.
Ski has been prototypically prolific of late, appearing on Nessly's single "WHOHASIT" and Ronny J's OMGRonny project in the past few weeks. He's also been teasing new tracks of his own including one with an unconventional Boy Meets World sample.
