Premiere: Vato Gonzalez And Scrufizzer Share Thumping New Track "Bump & Grind"

A worthy addition to your Friday night playlist.

Dutch DJ/producer Vato Gonzalez is back with a thumping new cut, "Bump & Grind", featuring none other than Scrufizzer.

The hypnotic production, along with the repetitive hook, is a ready made banger sure to get even the most stubborn people off their chairs and onto the dancefloor. It's also good to see grime emcees navigating new territory, and Scrufizzer does it like a pro—this is a dope addition to his already strong catalogue, and one for you to add to your Friday night playlist.

"'Bump & Grind', previously 'Bassline Riddim', initially started out as an experiment," Vato told Complex UK, "with me trying to push the boundaries of the amount of actual and psycho-acoustically perceived bass I could put into a track. Once I sent the record over to Oliver Heldens, the record immediately got released on his Heldeep imprint. DJ support went through the roof and it wasn't long before Polydor UK wanted to make a new version with vocals."

He added: "As one of the few Dutch artists that's supporting UK acts, I'd been playing a tonne of tunes by AC Slater, Endor and Motez which all featured Scrufizzer. His unique 'fizzy' flow had put him on my radar for while, so we got in touch. He nailed the record in the first session! I tested it at a festival the same day and even the people that knew the previous instrumental version went ballistic."
