The Ball family can’t stop disrespecting Nas.

On this week’s episode of Lip Sync Battle, LaVar ball will go head-to-head with his son, Lonzo, who to took on Migos’ “Bad and Boujee.” Just days after we got a glimpse at the NBA rookie’s performance, the hit TV series has released a preview of what LaVar had in store. And, to be honest, he could learn a thing or two from his son.

LaVar decided to lip-sync Nas’ “Hate Me Now” from the 1999 album I Am… It’s was a solid selection, but LaVar didn’t exactly do it justice. In fact, it’s a little cringey, as the father struggles to mouth the correct lyrics. Even Lonzo couldn’t help but blast his dad’s attempt: “Can I tell you something LL? If I was Nas, I'd be mad he put a performance like that on my song,” the point guard said after the performance.

You can check out the preview above. The father and son will appear on Lip Sync Battle this Thursday, just hours before Lonzo will release his debut album, Born 2 Ball.

LaVar’s decision to perform Nas’ “Hate Me Now” track isn’t too surprising. For one, LaVar has become one of the most polarizing figures in sports, and has garnered plenty of hate for his ostentatious antics. So, we’re sure he can relate to the lyrics. Secondly, his son Lonzo received backlash in 2017 for claiming Nas was no longer relevant.

“Y'all outdated, man. Don't nobody listen to Nas no more,” he said while filming Ball in the Family. “Real hip-hop is Migos and Future.”

Lonzo went on to troll the legendary rapper by Photoshopping his own face on the cover of Nas’ 1996 album It Was Written; however, Nas has never responded.
