Before Rich Gang, before YMCMB, before Cash Money, before Birdman, there was Bryan "Baby" Williams. A new documentary about his life leading up to the founding of Cash Money with his brother Ronald "Slim" Williams will be available exclusively on Apple this Friday, February 16.

The film, titled Before Anythang: The Story Behind The Cash Money Records Empire, is narrated by Birdman himself and features interviews with family and friends to help tell the story of his journey from a child to founding his label. A press release calls is the "first production from Cash Money films" and describes a little more about the film:

"This in-depth documentary explores the journey of one of the most successful rap label owners and entrepreneurs in modern music history. From the death of his mother when he was a small child to learning how to hustle at the feet of his father; from the streets of New Orleans to traveling the world, Bryan created the world he envisioned as a boy. His is the great American success story. From humble beginnings emerges the legend, this is the story of how it all began."

As this documentary is produced by Birdman and Cash Money, it will probably not provide a fully balanced view of his life and business dealings, but the benefit is the access to archival footage and photos, as seen in the trailer above. Returning to the present, there seems to be endless drama surrounding Birdman and Cash Money's business dealings, especially with Lil Wayne—maybe a subject that weill be covered in a future documentary films.

An official soundtrack will also be released to accompany the film.
