Next month, SHOWTIME will premiere Word Is Bond, a hip-hop documentary that explores the importance of rhymes within hip-hop, as well as spotlights several rappers in the game who have made their mark with the pen and a pad. The documentary is directed by well-respected writer, filmmaker, and all-around hip-hop scholar Sacha Jenkins.
Viewers receive a taste of what's to come this evening with a new teaser trailer that features spots from Pusha T, Nas, Rakim, Styles P, and Rhymefest (who passionately announces, "Rap is like the Bible, G!). Additional artists who discuss their craft in the film include J. Cole, Rapsody, Tech N9ne, Anderson .Paak, Vince Staples, and many more.
