It was the kneel that launched a thousand tweets from the President. I’m talking about Colin Kaepernick’s famous national anthem kneel, of course. The football player famously used the gesture as way to protest police brutality. The NFL star has continued his social justice work off field, launching a one million-dollar pledge to help an array of different of organizations. T.I. has joined the ranks of many high-profile celebrities supporting Kaepernick’s cause, with a generous $10K donation to Trae Tha Truth’s foundation, Angel By Nature. Kaepernick announced T.I.’s donation on Twitter, saying that he matched it with $10K of his own money. According to Kaepernick, he only has “$40k to go” in his one- million-dollar pledge.

As per the organization’s website, Angel By Nature is “dedicated to improving life for individuals who have been affected by hardship and impoverishment, especially the underserved youth.” The organization also spearheaded relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey in Houston.
