Parody is a difficult thing. There's a very fine line between pastiche and par, and it can be easy to miss the mark. In the video for their new banger (and we mean that) "Shut Ya Mouth", London duo Pete & Bas have so far walked that line perfectly. The pair are regular fixtures on the bizarre and hilarious SandhuWorld Instagram.
The best thing about it, of course, is that they're the butt of the joke, not the culture of working class people of colour. Naturally, it helps that the beat is hard and their flows are genuinely on point, but it goes to show how parody can be done properly.
