Khaled was sure to tag both Roc Nation and We the Best Music's accounts, further hinting it's about new material. With his habit of releasing new projects annually (with a rare break in 2014), he could be working on the follow-up to 2016's platinum-selling Grateful.
Nas and Jay Z had one of the most famous feuds in hip-hop history that more or less ended with Nas' "Ether" in 2001. Although they continued to throw shots at each other after the famous diss track, the two squashed their beef in 2005 when Jay invited Nas to his comeback tour, I Declare War. Since then, they've collaborated on several songs together including Nas' "Black Republicans," Ludacris' "I Did It for Hip Hop," and two of Jay Z's own, "Success" and "BBC."
Now that DJ Khaled is on the Roc Nation roster, it seems that he might be bringing the two back on a track again. Khaled already enlisted Nas for Major Key's "Nas Album Done," although that album has yet to be released. He's also teamed up with his label head for "I Got the Keys" with Future and "Shining" with Beyoncé.
Actor Jesse Williams wasn't pictured in Khaled's shot, but was definitely among the legends—along with Bey, Pharrell, Diddy, Cassie, and Mary J. Blige:
The streets really just want to know where Asahd was, though.
