Cardi B is always making money moves, and for her newest project, she won't have to dance or rap, but act. TMZ spilled the tea that Becalis could be on her way to breaking records at the box office after signing her first movie deal.

No word yet on what the movie deal entails, but filming starts in March, which means Becalis could very soon be be going from festival stages to a theater near you. It also appears she’s taking this new step seriously. TMZ reports the “Bartier Cardi” rapper turned down over $100,000 in gigs during March because of the film.

Cardi is no stranger to the cameras, since the rapper jump-started her music career by appearing on Love & Hip Hop New York for two seasons. Though her stint on the reality show was short, she didn’t fail to make every appearance on screen a hilarious performance.

She also guest starred on an episode of Being Mary Jane in season 4. All this is to say, whatever Bacardi is doing on the big screen is going to be worth watching.

Outside of her acting career, Cardi B continues to make history. The rapper recently broke Beyoncé's record, becoming the first woman to have five songs in Billboard’s top 10 with “Finesse,” “No Limit,” “Motorsport,” “Bartier Cardi,” and “Bodak Yellow.” The only other artists to accomplish this are Drake and Kendrick Lamar, and she did so with her first five chart entries. Her and Bruno Mars will be performing their “Finesse” collab at the Grammy’s later this month, where the rapper is nominated for two awards.
