Balu, like many of us, is using art to make sense of his life. The Toronto-based artist realized that toxic relationships and masculinity were a source of stress in his life and set on a personal journey to make a change. They are pretty heavy realizations to work through, but thankfully Balu has also been able to make some great music in the process.

His latest is "Never Home," which gets an accompanying visual that was directed by Balu himself. Balu tells us that when he is recording in the booth he also creates visuals in his head simultaneously, making it only a natural fit for him to direct his own videos.  Another interesting aspect of Balu's music is his penchant for working in beatboxing elements to his music, paying an homage to ten years spent practicing the craft.

Check out "Never Home" above and stay tuned for more music from Balu. He tells us he's currently working on becoming the first Bollywood star from North America, so we're keen to see how that develops.
