The holiday season is a trying time for many. Thankfully, we have alcohol and new Chance the Rapper x Jeremih music to keep us vaguely sane this year.

As teased by Chance and Bongo ByTheWay in recent weeks, the 2016 collab project Merry Christmas Lil' Mama is getting a proper release this year. Friday, Chance hit Twitter and Instagram with a full-on confirmation and some studio footage.

The new and improved version of Merry Christmas Lil' Mama, due next weekfeatures an extended tracklist. Originally, the holiday project topped out at a brisk nine songs in just over 30 minutes.

Speaking with Rap-Up in November, Bongo—who had credits on multiple tracks on the original Merry Christmas Lil' Mama—teased what fans should expect with the update. "We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff," Bongo said. "Now, we're really finishing it up and we're gonna put it out right. It's gonna have new music. It's gonna be mixed and mastered and everything."

Chance teased a possible new Merry Christmas Lil' Mama 2.0 cut on Twitter shortly after Bongo's interview. He's also recently been spotted in the studio with Quavo, Donald Glover, and Lil Yachty.

In case it wasn't already clear, this is a universal truth: Chance the Rapper > Santa Claus the Deceiver.
