The tracklist for Eminem’s upcoming album Revival is pretty hefty, sitting at 19 tracks. Many different artists have recorded with the 45-year-old rapper in hopes of making the heavily-anticipated album. Seven different artists made the cut, but there’s no telling how many others have recorded music that didn’t quite make it. Anderson .Paak revealed on Twitter that he’s one of the artists who unfortunately, won’t be included.

A fan tweeted the 31-year-old artist to ask him why he wasn’t featured on the recently revealed tracklist. .Paak responded solemnly, emoji frown indicating his disapproval. “We did a joint but 😞” he responded.

.Paak isn’t the only hopeful artist to get shafted. 2 Chainz, who was originally featured on “Chloraseptic” along with Brooklyn rapper PHresher (who is still included on the track), also saw his dreams crushed when the tracklist was revealed. Chainz took to Instagram, in a now deleted post, also using emojis to convey his frustration. He has since changed his tune, posting a screengrab of a post by Genius depicting him and Eminem with a quote from PHresher detailing how good 2 Chainz’s verse really is. The Pretty Girls Like Trap Music rapper’s caption underneath this photo thanks Em for the opportunity, also promising that new music is on the way.

Here’s to hoping that we get a chance to hear both .Paak and 2Chainz’s contributions to the project.
