Sangy is an up-and-coming MC from Manchester who has been making noise on the underground rap scene for a minute now. Like with most of today's skilled rhymers, Sangy is as versatile as they come — able to swing between grime, rap, and trap with total ease. Such is the case with new single "Wa$ted", in which Sangy takes on a hazy trap beat from producer JKBTS and adds his wavey flow to proceedings to tell us how he copes with this thing called life.

"In terms of the tune, I suppose it's just me trying to give an insight into my life: the things I see and the things that go on around me," Sangy tells Complex. "I think the song itself is my train of thought in my own head, especially when I go to the club or the studio. I suppose it's trap music, but the content of the track isn't very trappy. All in all, it's just about being a normal person and overthinking everything that happens."
