Daniel Caesar has had a huge year in 2016, dropping a gorgeous debut album in August, and later collaborating with Chance The Rapper on a new song.
His low-key, reserved demeanor has kept many of his fans from knowing too much about the Toronto singer, however. That changes with this revealing interview with Nardwuar. Throughout the conversation, Caesar actually seems to learn new details about his own life, as Nardwuar dives even deeper than usual (which is saying something). Things actually get kind of emotional when Nardwuar hands Caesar a pin from his father's days as a musician in high school, before getting ripped off by a label.
The two also talk about BADBADNOTGOOD, Caesar's childhood in Canada, wanting to play the Drake Hotel, playing hotels, and more. At the end of the interview, a genuinely confused Caesar says, "If you're watching, Nardwuar definitely hacks social media, so keep your shit password protected."
