Super-producer Zaytoven isn't letting his new record deal slow him down any. The beatmaker came to New York City on Monday for the semifinal round of the Rémy Martin Producers Series Season 4.
The event was a battle between three amateur producers in front of a packed crowd and a panel of celebrity judges. Among the latter crew was legendary DJ Jazzy Joyce, producers LV and Buda the Future, and Add Ventures Music CEO Chris Gotti.
Zay got in on the act as well, creating a beat on the spot and inviting audience members to freestyle. Rapper Khia B took him up on his offer and impressed the crowd.
As for the contest, Severe Jones, L.O., and Midi Beats played their tracks for the room.
In the end, Severe Jones triumphed and moved on to the final round in Las Vegas, which takes place on Nov. 9.
