London-based producer and DJ Marcus Marr is preparing to drop his new single "High Times", and we've got the exclusive premiere ahead of the track's release this Friday (October 27). Led by Marr's funk guitar playing and some guest vocals from Nandi Bhebhe, "High Times" is actually the kind of space-age, funk-filled dance music we'd hope to get from the Berghain regular. Despite its futuristic core, the track, as Marr explains, "is largely built around live instruments. Once I had come up with the guitar parts, I then added all the other instruments one by one 'til I had an arrangement I liked. I've been playing it out for ages and it always works."
It's unclear whether this will form part of a larger project or not, but we could do with hearing a lot more of this. Take a look/listen exclusively above and catch Marcus at any of the below dates.
