Back in 2013, Drake was gearing up to release his third studio album Nothing Was The Same and referenced Wu-Tang Clan on his second promotional single "Wu-Tang Forever." The song samples "It's Yourz" and soon after it was released, Clan member U-God told Vibe that the group had recorded a remix to the record.

The remix never came to fruition with the Wu-Tang Clan and instead fans received a remix featuring A$AP Rocky in early 2016 that premiered on OVO Sound Radio. In a recent interview with Power 106's The Cruz Show, Wu-Tang leader RZA spoke on the failed collab and expressed some regret. When asked if the collaboration would ever take place, and he replied “That should of happened,” before praising Drake and echoing his statements on conflicting schedules leading to its collapse.

RZA went on to explain that the regret was not due to popularity but because he felt he should have fulfilled his duty as a veteran and rekindled the fire for hip hop. The interview also touched on topics including Martin Shkreli and Kanye West. Check out the interview above and skip to about 23:30 to catch the conversation on the failed "Wu-Tang Forever" collab.
