A dancehall cover of Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You" propelled songwriter and producer Culan to the forefront of the spectrum earlier this year. Today, however, Culan drops an original in new single "Merengue", a warm number that showcasing his West LDN upbringing with his Jamaican heritage. "'Merengue' is based on a merge of genres and culture, narrating the story of when the sun sets and the dancehall revellers come out, highlighting the endeavours of a young man seeking to captivate the attention of a beautiful lady," Culan explained to Complex over email.
