As you can see on her Twitter timeline, Alessia Cara is a big SZA stan. And the feeling seems to be mutual.
On Saturday, Cara showed more love to the TDE artist by posting her rendition of "Drew Barrymore," the lead single off SZA’s debut studio album, CTRL.
“[H]ad this laying around for a bit so I decided to post it,” Cara wrote in the video’s description. “[T]his album is magic.”

The 21-year-old Canadian singer has really made a name for herself since the release of her 2015 debut album Know-It-All. She’s delivered critically acclaimed hits like "Here," "Stay" with Zed, and "Scars to Your Beautiful," as well as a feature on Logic’s "1-800-273-8255."
In a March interview with Rolling Stone, Cara discussed the follow-up to Know-It-All, specifically the kind of sound she wanted to present.
"The last album was very metaphorical, lots of wordplay. Which I love. But I'm trying to see what will happen if I write a bit more simply. But sonically, I really wanna lean more toward the vibe of 'Here,' that kind of gritty pop-soul, R&B thing," she explained. "That's where my heart is, and I think that sound kind of got away from me a little bit just because I was young and so unsure of what I wanted to do."
Here's hoping her cover of SZA is a step in the right direction.
