Travis Scott’s friend and longtime bodyguard, Big Tony, has reportedly passed away.

The 25-year-old rapper shared the tragic news on social media Saturday, posting a series of black-and-white photos of Tony with heartfelt captions. “We wouldn’t mob with out [sic] your lead” and “U gon be my guardian angel for life bro" he wrote. The details of Tony's death have not been revealed.

Travis’ recent loss likely explains why he didn’t perform Friday during theDamn tour stop in Washington, D.C.

Following the concert, Travis made an appearance at D.C.’s Bliss Nightclub, where he apologized to fans for canceling his set. Though he didn’t provide an explanation at the time, he reassured the crowd he would return to the city sometime soon.

Tony was constantly photographed with Travis out in public and always seemed ready whenever the rapper needed backup. During a 2016 performance in Houston, Travis can be heard calling for Tony after he spotted a security guard snatch a mic from a fans hand.

“I will smack the fuck out of you ni**a,” Scott screamed. “Don’t you ever take a motherfucking mic out of my fucking fans’ hands, man. Tony, get this ni**a out my face, man. No security touches a Travis Scott fan, bro. It’s not how we rocking, bro. Take yo ass to the left. You fucking big earlobe, earring-wearing, fat motherfucker.”

At this time, it’s unclear if Travis will perform during the Damn tour stop in Boston tonight.
