Wayward

When you work in the world of music, or any form of entertainment, one of the hardest parts of the job is self-discipline. You can tell yourself your nightly hedonism counts as "networking" as much as you like, but eventually you're going to have to balance that with some actual work.

One duo that seems to have learned that already is emerging electronic producers Wayward. For their latest single "Alexandra", the duo took their inspiration from a 'fork in the road' moment where they had to choose between going out and staying in to make this driving, uplifting and somewhat emotional techno.

"The urge to make a tune was stronger in the end and we ended up producing 'Alexandra' that night," they explained. "To our friend, Alex — sorry we didn't make it to your party but we named a track after you instead." Keep an eye out for the rest of the single when it drops Sept. 8 via Silver Bear Recordings with original cut "Tapestry" and two remixes of "Alexandra".
