Bringing Ghanian rhythms to hip-hop once more, Kobi Onyame is back with new single "Darlin' (Show Me How)". A little darker than a lot of the Afrobeats you'll hear on radio, "Darlin'" is no less upbeat, however. Essentially a song about pleading with a loved one to take you back, the "show me how" chorus makes for an ideal refrain for the crowd to shout back at you in the rave. And then there's Kobi's bars: fast-paced, nimble and utterly British. Much has been made of the bountiful marriage between Afrobeats and UK hip-hop, but Kobi Onyame might be the finest example yet.
