Kirk Knight and Nyck Caution have bubbling solo careers thanks in part to Joey Badass’ early success with 1999 and his mission of showcasing the talent of his crew. Now that Pro Era has rejuvenated the East Coast movement and become a worldwide phenomenon, they have formed subgroups to continue pushing forward their lyric-driven aesthetic. Enter Nyck @ Knight.

The name is a play off Nickelodeon’s nick@nite programming block that broadcasted nightly for over 30 years, airing some of your favorite sitcoms like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I Love Lucy, and others. Combining forces as Nyck @ Knight, we get the best characteristics of Nyck Caution and Kirk Knight’s sound into one: it’s equal parts gritty, raw, and honest.

The eight-track EP features previously released tracks “Off the Wall” and “Dial Up.” The project also allows Nyck and Kirk to shine on their own on “Perfect Murder” and “Headlights,” respectively. One highlight and a guaranteed fan favorite is the Pro Era posse cut called “Audiopium,” which contains a soliloquy by the late Capital STEEZ.

With albums released by Tyga, Meek Mill, Tyler, the Creator, and many more, you definitely need to add this to your rotation. You can stream it below and purchase it here on iTunes.
