Kendrick Lamar fans in Detroit got a special surprise Wednesday evening when the Compton rapper brought out J. Cole to perform at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Cole kicked off his performance with "Deja Vu" off his latest album 4 Your Eyez Only, and the crowd appropriately went crazy when he appeared on stage.

He also performed "A Tale of 2 Citiez" and "No Role Modelz" (which you can view up top) from his 2014 release 2014 Forest Hills Drive.

Cole touched the Palace of Auburn Hills stage just a few days ago (July 23), so some fans got to catch him twice in one week. Cole's next show takes place in Toronto (July 28), while Lamar hits Chicago on Thursday (July 27).

Of course, this appearance will fuel more rumors about K-Dot and Cole's elusive collaborative project, but for now we're just excited to see them link up.

During his performance in Brooklyn over the weekend, Kendrick Lamar brought out 2 Chainz, and attendees shouldn't be surprised if he continues to bring out more guests on the Damn Tour.
