21 Savage's "Issa" f/ Young Thug and Drake Will Never Be Officially Released

Well, shit. This track was good.

Don't expect to possess an official, non-shit quality version of 21 Savage's "Issa" anytime soon. In fact, don't expect to get it ever. The Wheezy and Narcos-produced track, featuring Young Thug and Drake, surfaced back in May after months of hype. When 21 announced Issa Album, the assumption was that "Issa" would be included. But when the album dropped last week, the track was nowhere to be found.

21 Savage's personal manager and King Me Collective founder Kei Henderson delivered the bad news Monday. Asked if an official release for the track was ever going to happen, Henderson offered a succinct response:

Though the reason for the track's abandonment remains unclear, Genius reports that Issa Album mixer Alex Tumay said the track's unexpected surfacing in May hurt its chances of making enough money for the label(s). So, fuck. Reps for 21 Savage did not immediately respond to Complex's request for comment.

The Seth Rogen-approvedIssa Album arrived just days after 21 Savage revealed the album's cover art and announced a release date. No official singles have been released, but the project is doing just fine without them. Some have even posited that the album is better than Jay Z's 4:44—no doubt a controversial opinion.

21 Savage has also been in headlines in recent weeks for his apparent romance with Amber Rose:

Rose's ex Wiz Khalifa gave the Savage x Rose relationship the proverbial thumbs-up over the weekend, telling a professional annoyer from TMZ that Savage was "a good kid."
