Back with another episode of Studio Bounce, Jamz Supernova this time sat down with UK soundsystem badman Toddla T in his West London studio to discuss his roots, his production set-up, and how he approaches each new track.
Toddla goes into the development of his sound across the years; from those big, heavy dancehall and bashment records in the early Sheffield days to UK garage, hip-hop, grime and beyond. It's interesting to hear his own perspective on that progression as well as how his new album, Foreign Light, came to be.
Jamz told Complex: "For many, Toddla is best known for his amazing radio shows but, first and foremost, he is an incredible producer! Upon hearing a sneak peak of his new album, I knew this was his moment. Filming Studio Bounce and taking a deeper look at how he made 'Beast' in the environment he's most comfortable in, was a real treat."
