Jameel "Kintaro" Bruner, the youngest of Ronald Bruner's three Grammy-nominated sons (including Thundercat) recently left The Internet, but today he returns with an excellent solo EP called Universal.

Mixing a diverse range of influences, the five song project blends the sounds of soul, hip-hop, funk, trap, and R&B as Kintaro finds a lane of his own that will undoubtedly appeal to some fans of The Internet—while coloring outside the lines of what you might expect from those projects.

An early favorite might be "Mk," a song that features a spirited vocal appearance from Anderson .Paak before Kintaro slides in for a duet and a quick duet over uptempo synths and percussion. In other words: clear some room around yourself to get up and move a little before hitting play on this one.
