Joe Jonas, Alessia Cara To Co Host iHeartRadio MMVAs

Canada’s own Alessia Cara is being partnered with Joe Jonas to host this year’s IHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards. Cara is best known for her hit singles “Scars to Your Beautiful” and “Here” and will be making her debut as an award show host.

Cara made here IHeartRadio MMVA debut last year as a performer. The Canadian singer/songwriter burst onto the music scene in 2015, and has already achieved a platinum-selling debut album, Know-It-All. Cara also received a JUNO-award in 2016 for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and was a nominee for Best New Artist at the American Music Awards.

This will be Jonas’ second time hosting the MMVA’s... he hosted the show with the Jonas Brothers, back in 2009. Jonas’ multi-platinum selling band DNCE is also set to perform at the event, who are best known for their hit “Cake by the Ocean.”

ETALK host Liz Trinnear and Much and E! host Tyrone Edwards are set to co-host the event, with ETALK reporter and E! host Chloe Wilde and IHeartRadio’s Patrick Langlois greeting celebrities at the red carpet. The televised Toronto street party is set to include performances from famous artists such as Imagine Dragons, Lorde, and Jazz Cartier.

The MMVAs will air live on June 18 at 9 p.m. ET on Much, CTV and on VRAK in Quebec. The show can also be live-streamed through the IHeartRadio app.
