It's been a very long time since 2010's Plastic Beach, with many Gorillaz fans eager to hear more from the virtual band. Now, after lots of teases and some stellar singles, Humanz is finally here. Featuring a lot of guest vocalists unlike 2011's The Fall, the latest Gorillaz album is packed. Featuring the previously released singles "Saturnz Barz," "Let Me Out," The Apprentice," and more, Humanz is every bit the event one would expect.
Across 20 tracks (or 26 if you listen to the deluxe edition of the album), Gorillaz reintroduce fans to their world. Guest vocalists range from Grace Jones and Benjamin Clementine to Pusha T and Danny Brown, offering up, as one would hope, lots of variety. No one bridges the gap between the worlds of rap and rock music quite as well as Gorillaz do, with Damon Albarn flaunting his impeccable taste once again.
