London-based producer Courage is a name you may not be that familiar with. You will, however, know his productions, especially the one he provided for Ray BLK and Stormzy on the heartfelt "My Hood". A moody, soulful R&B beat, "My Hood" proved to be a runaway success that few predicted. Even more surprising, is Courage's new production "Songbirds", backed by the looped, kaleidoscopic carnival visuals above. The modest uplift of his "My Hood" production has been swapped for a carnival-leaning house track that's soaked in '90s clubbing history. It's not easy to surprise people in 2017, but we suspect the element of surprise is going to become Courage's signature. "Songbird" is out right now via Rinse.
