Young Thug surprised everyone on Thursday night with a sudden drop of a new song and video. The clip for "Safe," directed by Garfield "GLP" Larmond, shows Thugger walking (and sometimes dancing) down a long white hallway and flashing his stacks.
There is no word if "Safe" will appear on any upcoming project, though the YouTube description reads, "I Will Never Quit" followed by "Single coming soon." Though there's no confirmation if "I Will Never Quit" is the title of an upcoming 'tape or album, it definitely sounds like the Atlanta rapper has something up his sleeve.
"Safe" is Thug's first solo release since his 2016 mixtape Jeffery.
It's been a big day for Thugger fans. Hours before the rapper delivered "Safe," we heard his new track "Cook Up" with Young Scooter. And just last week, he linked up with Birdman on the Rich Gang cut "Bit Bak." The Cash Money founder teased the RG2 project in early 2017, announcing he and Thug would handle the sequel and have already locked down 10 to 12 songs.
