Taking on "Good Girls", the single released last year and the first from Crystal Fighters' third album Everything Is My Family, is Liverpudlian DJ, producer and apparent Legend of Zelda fan Kokiri. As with the rest of the album, "Good Girls" was a deftly crafted piece of synth-tinged indie pop with a big and catchy hook. Kokiri's remix, however, takes the original from uplifting festival banger to big, anthemic house roller. The huge vocal hook from the original remains—but to that, Kokiri adds a ravey piano line, a snappy beat and a heavy drop. It's pretty far removed from its unassuming source, but a welcome reminder of the versatility of good, well-written pop music. Listen below.
