Towards the end of last year, one of UK rap's shining lights Nines earned himself a spot on the XL Recordings roster as one of the label's latest signees. It was a big moment, not just for Nines but for UK rap as the sound finds itself being more and more readily accepted. Now, eight weeks later, and we've already got the first post-XL drop from the Harlesden rapper. "High Roller", which features a chorus from J Hus, shows Nines on the cusp between two chapters as they make the figurative and literal journey from towerblocks to fancy cars and expensive flats.
