It's been nearly four years since Lorde released her debut album Pure Heroine in 2013. Within the last year, she's made hints about her new album here and there. In November, for her 20th birthday, Lorde provided fans with a few more updates about the her song writing process and the progress of her forthcoming album. However, we haven't had any concrete clues that new music was finally on the way until recently.

Last night, during an ad that ran on television in New Zealand, it appears Lorde may have actually previewed new music. In the short commercial, Lorde can simply be seen sitting in a car enjoying a late-night fast food binge while the instrumental for what may be her new single plays in the background.

Before the ad ends, "3.2.17 NYC" and "3.3.17 NZ" flash across the screen, seemingly implying that Lorde's next single is coming as soon as this week. The timing of a new single from Lorde this week would work perfectly, considering the singer is set to be Saturday Night Live's musical guest on March 11.
