Jim Jones Talks Roc Nation Deal, New Album, Cam'ron and More

Jim Jones stopped by the Complex office to talk new Roc Nation deal, next album, Cam'ron beef, and much more.

Jim Jones is in the news a lot in 2017. The NYC rapper recently signed a deal with Roc Nation and has a new project on the way. He's also made headlines for his ongoing issues with Cam'ron, which seem to pop up every now and again. With all of this going on, Jones stopped by the Complex offices to talk about his Roc Nation deal, his next album, and share some classic stories from back in the day. For instance, Jones dropped a gem of a story about watching Cam'ron and Jay Z record "Welcome to New York City" back in 2002.

He recalled the feeling of being in the studio during the sessions and how hard each MC was going in. As far as Cam, things have fallen off a bit between the two of late, and most recently Killa addressed the issues on a captivating Instagram Live session. On that subject, Jones said, "I love all my brothers the same, it's in God's hands now, I'm on a whole different wave." With new music on the wave, he talked a ton about bridging that classic Dipset feeling with a more modern sound in the new tunes. For example, he has a song with Migos on the way that will be on his next project out in April. Even better, they're all shooting a video for the track very soon.
