Soulja Boy's recent brush with the law could land the rapper behind bars, as TMZ reports he's been charged with possession of an assault weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection to his December arrest.

If you remember, Soulja was nabbed by the police last month. Why? Because he had a gun in his home, which was a direct violation of his probation. The only reason the cops stopped by his house to check up on him was because he was threatening people online with guns. Clearly that wasn't a warning sign for Soulja, who's been embroiled in a feud with Chris Brown since, and recently added 50 Cent to the mix.

TMZ further reports Soulja Boy has been charged with a misdemeanor for receiving stolen property; evidently one of the guns in his home was reportedly taken from a police car. How Soulja would get his hands on is is anyone's guess.

The weapon in his possession, a Mini Draco AR-15, is also illegal to possess in the state of California. He is facing more than four years in prison if convicted.

Soulja Boy has yet to address this latest development on social media, though we have a feeling that will change pretty soon. As of press time his most recent IG is for promotion for his SBeezys:

Would be interesting to know if sales have increased with all the fuckery in Soulja Boy's life.
